Anonimul: Film Festival to screen Romanian award-winning productions internationally. events

Several Romanian films that have won awards at international festivals, including Cannes or San Sebastián, will be screened during this year’s edition of Anonimul International Independent Film Festival.

The event takes place from August 8 to 14 in Sfântu Gheorghe, in the Danube Delta.

The program includes two short film competitions, covering Romanian and international productions, a feature film competition and screenings outside the competitions. The screenings are accompanied by meetings and dialogues between the filmmakers and the public.

The Romanian feature films screened outside the competitions are those of Emanuel Pârvu Morocco, which premiered in the 2021 San Sebastián Film Festival’s New Directors competition; by Alexandru Belc Metronome, awarded this year in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival; Octavian Chelaru Balaur/ A Higher Law; by Sebastian Mihailescu Pentru mine you are Ceauşescu/ You are Ceausescu for me, awarded at festivals such as Doclisboa and Ji.hlava; Psychological thriller by Bogdan George Apetri Wonder / Miracle, which premiered last year in the Orizzonti competition at the Venice Film Festival; At Liviu Marghidan Străjerii Deltei / Sentinels of the Delta; Alina Grigore Crai Nou / Blue Moon, the big winner of the San Sebastián Film Festival 2021; With Monica Stan and George Chiper-Lillemark Immaculate / Immaculate, winner of the first Luigi De Laurentis Prize at the Venice Film Festival last year; and Gabriel Achim Uneori ninge cu zăpadă, alteori cu întuneric/ Snowing Darknesswhich premiered at Tallin Black Nights FF 2021.
