Along with the titles of the International Competition, they are eligible for the Best Arab Film Award (valued at $ 10,000). 22 other short films will compete in the international short film competition for the Youssef Chahine Prize ($ 5,000) and the Special Jury Prize. Two honorary prizes will also be awarded: the Golden Pyramid Award for Lifetime Achievement will go to the very popular Egyptian actress nelly, while his compatriot, thesp Karim Abdel Aziz, will receive the Faten Hamama Award for Distinguished Cinematographic Achievements.

The Cairo Industry Days side event will hold its fourth edition from December 1 to 5, again featuring a series of lectures and master classes, various activities organized by Netflix and a “One Day TV Focused Pitch Forum”, co-organized with the Middle East Media Initiative (MEMI) and is preparing to present 11 projects, among other highlights. The key industry section is the Cairo Film Connection (CFC) co-production platform, where a jury of eminent film professionals will select projects that will receive cash and in-kind prizes presented by CFC partners. The members of the jury will distribute more than $ 300,000 through 21 prizes offered by 22 companies and film institutions. Said jury includes the director of cinema programming at the Cannes Film Market Alice kharoubi (France), filmmaker Cherif El-Bendary (Egypt) and director Metropolis Cinema Hania Mroué (Lebanon). Of the 15 projects selected, eight (i.e. the majority) were developed by female directors, five projects are junior directors, three feature film narrative projects were submitted by award-winning female directors whose filmographies include several Acclaimed documentaries and three famous filmmakers are back with their sophomore projects.
