

CHICAGO – South of Chicago, particularly in the southern suburbs, is Governors State University (University Park, Illinois). The Chicago Southland International Film Festival, which runs October 11-17, 2021 and is presented by the University, is emerging from the pandemic. Co-founded and co-chaired by Joshua Young and Suzanne Patterson, the festival is in its fourth year, with a hybrid mix of short and feature films online and in person. The Chicago Southland International Film Festival (CSIFF) is a film festival with core values ââof inclusion, diversity and the promotion of quality of life, valuing an atmosphere that fosters the ability to enjoy life through the fine arts and humanities. CSIFF offers Chicagoland residents the opportunity to see a diverse film collection – professional to amateur, even at the high school level – from around the world, and to see the art-rich campus of Governor’s State University in person.
