Today, BAFTA announces the appointment of Spun Gold TV as co-producer of the EE BAFTA Film Awards and BAFTA Television Awards for the next two years (2023 and 2024), following a call for tenders. Spun Gold was selected based on its creative, ambitious and innovative thinking and extensive industry experience.

Spun Gold will draw on 20 years of experience delivering BAFTA-winning television event productions, including historic ITV programming for Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday and Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The production company will work with BAFTA to dramatically reinvent and expand the production and format of both events to deliver BAFTA’s most ambitious celebrations of talent and creativity to date. With a vision to bring viewers at home the best seats in the house, BAFTA and Spun Gold TV will deliver two of the biggest nights on the UK entertainment calendar.

Both ceremonies will be broadcast on BBC One, BBC One HD and BBCiPlayer, from the Royal Festival Hall, with the red carpet broadcast live on BAFTA and BBC social media. The EE BAFTA Film Awards will take place on February 19, 2023. The BAFTA Television Awards will take place on May 14.

Premier will lead the EE BAFTA Film Awards PR campaign and media will manage the legendary red carpet and BAFTA ceremony from its new home at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre. Confirmed today for the first time, Premier will bring a wealth of experience from across the entertainment industry and lead the communications strategy and delivery of all aspects of the campaign, from reveal to nominations (January 19, 2023 ) at the EE BAFTA film sessions (February 2023), at the ceremony.
