If I didn’t already know and someone asked me what season we were in. I guess it’s fall. I think we had more rainy and cold days than sunny and warm days. It definitely doesn’t look like June. Then I saw a festival coming up this weekend that seems more appropriate in October.

Illinois’ Annual Hearse and Oddities Festival isn’t your typical summer festival

Honestly, I have absolutely no problem celebrating Halloween-like events in June. The weather is usually much better. It looks like a good time. This is the 9th Annual Festival of Hearses and Oddities Shows. Some of the activities will include a hearse show. Yes, vehicles that are used for funerals.

Details for the hearse show and the festival of curiosities

The festival is this Saturday, June 11 from 2 p.m. There’s an after-party inside that starts at 8 p.m. The Brauer House (1000 North Rohlwing Road in Lombard) is the host. Tickets are on sale now, HERE. The cost is $6 for the festival only and $10 for the after-party. This is a 21+ event.
